Well, I love 5 blade razors and always use Venus. This razor does give a very close shave and is smooth. HOWEVER, and this the # 1 downfall, the blades dull in no time!!! I mean, the Olay moisture strip lasts longer than the blades do! These blades are very expensive, so you expect the sharpest, highest quality razor that lasts long enough to feel like you're getting your money's worth. In reality, they only last maybe one, two weeks tops, if your lucky. Collapse

I have only used this razor two times and the moisture bars have already dissolved and falling off! The other razors in the line last 10 times longer than this one. It's not worth the money it cost to have something fall apart soo fast! Collapse

I just love this Razor. I'm a little on the heavy side and iv always fuss with razors going over and over one spot to make sure i get all the hair on my legs. it can be a bit overwhelming but with Venus its very pleasurable to shave again and it just takes one pass and its smooth as silk!! The head of this razor has two strips on it which moisturize your legs so there is no need for any shaving creams. Just wet your legs and you are good to go! The shave is really easy, as the razor just glides over your skin, without leaving cuts or anything nasty. The quality of the shave is next to none, and the best I have ever experienced. It is really close and leaves my legs shiny, smooth and flawless. I couldn't recommend it more. Collapse

I am a total razor snob, and have never blinked a false lash at paying the price for a good smooth shave. Venus razors has always been my choice. BUT with Venus & Olay 5 blade, I want my money back! Pros ~ Smells great, razor glides smooth & gives moisture to the skin Cons ~ You will not get a close shave. Blades will go be dull on second shave. These razors have to hang or you loose the moisture stripe (they will become gummy) I am going back Venus Embrace! Collapse

Subject says it all... The concept of this product looks good on paper, however, it was very poorly executed. When I saw Olay and Venus teamed up, I had high expectations. I use Olay products on my face everyday. I understand this razor is designed so that you don't have to use shave gel, but the "Olay moisture bars" feel like a sticky mess rather than a moisturizer. Because of these bulky Olay bars at the top and bottom of the razor, a smooth, close shave is a joke. There will be hair patches galore. 5 blades does more of a job of 2 or 3 blades if you're lucky. I also don't recommend getting the "sugarberry scent." It smelled like very artificial berries. I am going to try again with another Venus cartridge. This one was just a disaster. Collapse

I bought this as it was on offer and I am so glad I did as it is amazing. The smell of the Olay is lovely and doesn't have that horrible shaving gel smell. Legs were hair free and moisturised and lovely. Thank you Gilette and Olay Collapse

Love this product, I have had the purple colored handled Venus shaver for a long time. I saw the Ad for the yellow one with Olay and wanted a change. When I saw it in person it is more of a gold color than a yellow, I was looking for a bright burst of sunshine for the spring/summer... who knows maybe they will make a lemon colored one soon! This thing is just awful. I have really had my fill of razors that have sixteen blades. Two is just fine. Maybe three. So now it's sixteen blades and a big huge lump of slimy stuff the size of my head. What does Gillette not get about women shaving lots of areas that aren't a big flat open space? I can't get sixteen blades and a lump of stuff in the weird shapes of my armpit and the back of my knee. Seriously! Why? Three blades, no gunk. Of course, there is the plus of the gunk disappearing and falling off in four or five uses. I just don't get it. What I wouldn't give for the good old days of little razors. Collapse

I used this Razor quite few days back and I must say that the product works wonder. The moisture bars works like a shaving cream and closer the shave , better the result.The flexible head of the shaver helped in reaching all spotson my body . And all these without a slightest skin irritation. One thing I would like to see in this shaver is a long or better lasting moisture bar . Rest are excellent! Collapse

This product leaves my legs feeling soft and moisturised, with a nice fresh scent. I've used Venus products in the past and have always loved the close shave that they give - the addition of the Olay moisturiser is a great bonus! I did have an issue with some of the more awkward places to shave, such as around the ankle, as the head of the razor was quite loose so I had to put more pressure on to ensure a close enough shave. I would agree with others that say the price is a little too high for me...although previous experience with similiar razors from Gillette, I find that they do last a decent amount of time before the blades need replacing. You buy cheap, you buy twice...so it's worth the invest! Check back in stores for a good deal on extra blades and buy in bulk when they're on offer, would be my advice! Collapse
